Progressing

We've now started editing the raw material into a draft render.
Shaped a few more models:
Thoras Trollbane, Lord of Strom.
Terenas Menethil II, King of Lordaeron
Turalyon, General of the Silver Hand

Two screens from the current render of the Interlude:

We also started working on another section of the movie, this scene takes place in the Warcraft III campaign, it's when Arthas seeks out the newly freed Illidan Stormrage in the corrupted lands of Felwood. The scene is far from completed, but here's some screens of whats done.

Spotlight:

The Alliance of Lordaeron
At the moment we're working on the scene where the Alliance of Lordaeron was formed.

After the assassination of King Llane of Stormwind, Lord Lothar Anduin gathered what troops they had left, even civilians and travaled by sea to the kingdoms of Lordaeron to seek aid. When he arrived at the shores of Lordaeron, Lothar went to speak to king Terenas Menethil II of Lordaeron and when he told his dire story about orc's devastating the lands of Azeroth, people seemed to listen. King Terenas gathered the leaders of The Seven Kingdoms to a meeting, to discuss the situation.
The Seven Kingdoms:
  • Anduin Lothar of Azeroth (the shattred southern country)
  • King Terenas Menethil II of Lordaeron
  • Thoras Trollbane of Stromgarde
  • Admiral Daelin Proudmoore of Kul'Tiras
  • Genn Greymane of Gilneas
  • Antonidas of Dalaran
  • Lord Aiden Perenolde of the Alterac
King Terenas sent emissaries to the elfs of Quel'Thalas and the Convocation of Silvermoon, to the dwarfs and gnomes of Khaz Modan and to the dwarfs of the Wildhammer Clan, located in the Hinterlands:
  • High King Anasterian Sunstrider, Lord of Quel'Thalas, represented on the meeting by Sylvanas and Alleria Windrunner
  • King Magni Bronzebeard of Ironforge, represented on the meeting by his brothers Muradin and Brann Bronzebeard
  • Chief Thane Kirdran Wildhammer of the Hinterlands

Another person bound to the Alliance worth naming is Uther the Lightbring, who attended the meeting together with his superior master-paladin Alonsus Faol .

Movie Project Continues

Monday again

and it's time for another FA-meeting.
Finished about 65% of the manuscript now (scetched version "beta") but we havn't decided what to name the movie. Still reading through the lore and we're discovering a lot of new stuff that we might add, stuff that just slipped our minds previously.
As we are looking at it right now the movie will be around 30minutes long (but probably longer)
.

At the moment we are looking for:

  • Voiceactors
  • Music
  • World of Warcraft models
If you know anyone with a very outstanding voice, an cool wow model you'd like to promote or any good film-music, please contact us at Founding_Arts@hotmail.com - All help we can possibly get is much appreciated.

The history of Founding Arts

The past:
The Guardian's Progeny
After releasing The Guardian's Progeny(april 11 -07), a compilation of Karazhan, we decided to make something bigger. Our next project was to create a complete compilation of the tier5 instances, Tempest Keep and Serpentshrine Cavern, with some important lore in it.
Vials of Eternity
We realized that to make such a movie together it would be easier if we camped in Anton "Qvist" Lundqvist's basement for a week or two, and so we did. In the first two weeks of July -07 we worked on the lorescript, editing, recording and we tested different people for the "voiceover" (used in the first minutes of the film). It wasn't untill close to releasedate (August 31 -07) we found someone good enought for the job. We sent the prologue clips to Alexander/Malei and he recorded everything in his very own studio, added some effects to the soundclip and sent it all back to Qvist. Vials of Eternity was now done and it became (in our eyes atleast) a success. A short while after, we recruited Alexander/Malei to the team as an insperationsource and soundexpert.

Shortly after the release of Vials of Eternity we started two new projects, separately; Max "Sveth" L.Söhr begun create a Hyjal Summit compilation called "the Well of Eternity" and Anton "Qvist" Lundqvist started on a Zul'Aman compilation (this was before Zul'Aman was out on PTR's).

the Well of Eternity
The movie contained snapshots of all the bossfights in the Hyjal instance, a prologue based on a conversation between the lorecharacters; Thrall, Jaina Proudmore, Tyrande Whisperwind, Malfurion Stormrage and Medivh. The movie is heavily synced with the soundtracks, some people might even say it's an epiletic seizure. The movie got nearly 70.000 downloads on www.warcraftmovies.com and brought us to the Hall of Fame on the site.

the Sacred Empire
As soon as our world of warcraft guild, Numen, had cleared Zul'Aman Sveth started the recording, as the guild wanted to do the first four bosses within the timetrial already on the first weeks, "walking role-players" (Us walking around in record-"mode") wasn't allowed in the raidgroup. So it took a couple of weeks to get it all recorded and transfered to Qvist's computer before he could start editing. As time passes by we are now closing in on chirstmas in the year -07, and when we are trying to get a hand on Malei for a voiceover on the prologue. Problems started showing up, Business trips and hectic workhours for all of us resulted in putting the project on hold for some time.
And this leads us to ...

The Present
February the 11th was a monday, Sveth and Qvist decided to have a little chat about the moviemaking and how to redesign it to be intresting for our watchers, we didn't want to recreate "old content".
We scetched on what we had so far, which basically was a prologue filled with lore about how the current Zul'Aman appeared on the map, a couple of complete boss-scenes and some only half-done. We suggested to ourself' that removing the boss-scenes and combinding the prologue, and also expanding the prologue into a wider concept where the trolls of Zul'Aman played a role in something more fresh.
As the trolls once were in conflict with the elfs of Quel'Thalas we saw an opportunity to evolve the story to present tense: describing Prince Kael'Thas's betrayal to Illidan by making a pact with Kil'jaeden and how the current situation regarding the Sunwell is.
This leads us to our...

Future plans
At the moment we are working on our script of what we hope will be one of 2008' greatest releases. In our next movie you can expect:
  • Detailed lore
  • Voice-acting
  • Sunwell content
  • Exceptional editing
  • Outstanding music
And much more...

Thats it for now, stay tuned
